Backend Developer / Software Engineer

We're looking for a Backend Developer / Software Engineer to help us build and scale Swap

(the app that turns clutter into value).

You'll be working on our backend built with Java + Spring, shaping the core of how people discover, match, and swap items.

What you'll do

Jump into an existing codebase and make it better

Build, improve, and scale backend services using Java Spring

Support some Node.js services (nice to have, not a must)

Help with hosting, deployments, and keeping things stable

Grow with the product as we grow

What we're looking for

Solid experience with Java + Spring

Comfortable reading and improving existing code

Curious mindset and strong willingness to learn

DevOps basics are a big plus (Docker, CI/CD, Linux, Cloud)

Not scared of production systems

You as a human

Good problem solver

Team player

Reliable and takes ownership

Has a sense of humor (debugging without humor is illegal)
