Backend Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Backend Engineer. The role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable back-end solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design efficient software, and troubleshooting issues to optimize performance. The Backend Engineer will contribute to backend web development while ensuring system reliability and scalability in line with Payr's business goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development techniques and frameworks, Specifically Python Django
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development and its integration with backend systems.
• Strong Programming skills in Python and Django languages to deliver optimized and clean code.
• Strong skills in Postgres.
• Ability to collaborate with team members in a distributed, remote work environment.
• Prior experience in Fintech or payment systems development is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
