Banking & Restructuring Senior Associate Solicitor to join the Dubai office of an international law firm.

This role offers the chance to work closely with a well-regarded partner on a broad mix of transactional banking, finance and restructuring matters across the UAE and wider region.

The practice advises financial institutions, corporates and government-related entities on a range of banking matters, including corporate lending, real estate finance and acquisition finance, on both a conventional and Sharia-compliant basis. It also has a strong restructuring and insolvency offering, acting across distressed debt situations, consensual restructurings and formal insolvency processes.

The team acts for a strong regional client base, including leading UAE banks, advising both lenders and borrowers, as well as on selected private credit matters.

This hire is intended to add a more experienced lawyer to the team, working closely with the partner on the transactional side of the practice while also supporting on restructuring mandates.

There will also be scope to mentor junior lawyers, develop client relationships and become increasingly involved in business development over time, with a clear longer-term growth trajectory.

This opportunity would suit a senior banking / finance lawyer English / Common Law qualified solicitor with solid Legal 500 law firm experience in the Middle East or UK etc, transactional experience and some exposure to restructuring or distressed situations, who is looking to take on a broader role within a growing Dubai practice.
