Barista – Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and specialty beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and non-alcoholic beverages, in line with premium hospitality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all beverages.
- Provide personalized recommendations to guests and deliver an exceptional coffee experience.
Bar Operations
- Set up, organize, and maintain the coffee station before, during, and after service.
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and related supplies; assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.
- Minimize waste and follow proper portion control procedures.
Guest Engagement & Upselling
- Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Upsell premium beverages, pastries, and add-ons to enhance the guest experience.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Follow company policies and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Barista in a high-end café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and specialty beverages.
- Experience in delivering high-quality guest service in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Good communication skills; fluency in English required.
