Role Description
We are looking for a friendly, skilled, and passionate Barista to prepare high-quality coffee and beverages while providing excellent customer service and supporting smooth café operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, tea, and hot and cold beverages according to company standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment.
- Ensure consistent beverage taste, quality, and presentation.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Recommend beverages and assist customers with menu selections.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic coffee bar and work area.
- Monitor stock levels and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
- Check ingredient quality and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and daily café operations.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and support the team during busy periods.
- Help maintain equipment and report any issues when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous Barista or café experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-making techniques.
- Experience with professional coffee machines is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, energetic, and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible, punctual, and reliable.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
