Job Purpose
The Bay Host is responsible for delivering an excellent guest experience by welcoming guests, managing assigned bays, taking food and beverage orders, supporting gameplay, and ensuring the bay area remains clean, organised, and ready for service.
The role requires a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented individual who can create a fun and welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of hospitality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their assigned bay.
- Introduce guests to the venue, available services, menu options, and bay facilities.
- Explain the basic gameplay process and assist guests with using the bay equipment and technology.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Regularly check on guests and respond quickly to their requests.
- Recommend menu items, promotions, packages, and additional services.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned bays throughout the guest visit.
- Clear used plates, glasses, and other items from the bay.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, reception, and operations teams to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor bay timings and inform guests when their booking period is close to completion.
- Assist with bay extensions, additional orders, and other requests where possible.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate concerns to the supervisor when required.
- Process payments accurately and provide guests with the correct bill.
- Ensure all cash-handling and payment procedures are followed.
- Check that golf clubs, balls, furniture, screens, and other bay equipment are properly arranged.
- Immediately report damaged equipment, technical issues, or safety concerns.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, grooming, and health and safety standards.
- Support birthday celebrations, corporate events, tournaments, and group bookings.
- Assist other team members during busy operational periods.
- Attend daily briefings and remain updated on promotions, events, menu changes, and operational requirements.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage, restaurants, entertainment venues, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience using a POS system would be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge or interest in golf is beneficial but not essential.
- Good spoken English; knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a busy and guest-focused environment.
