BCM Domain Consultant Experience 8+ years of relevant experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) Role Summary The BCM Domain Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, governing, and continually improving the Business Continuity Management framework across the organization and client environments. The role requires strong domain expertise in BCM standards, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and crisis management, along with hands-on consulting experience across BCM lifecycle activities. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide Business Continuity and Resilience frameworks aligned to ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and industry best practices.
Define BCM policies, standards, and operating procedures to ensure organizational resilience.
Support integration of BCM with ITSM, Information Security, Risk Management, and Compliance functions.
Conduct and facilitate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
Identify critical business functions, RTO/RPO, dependencies, and recovery priorities.
Perform BCM-related risk assessments, threat analysis, and scenario planning.
Develop, review, and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and crisis management playbooks.
Ensure alignment between business continuity plans and IT disaster recovery strategies.
Support DR architecture validation from a BCM perspective.
Plan, execute, and document BCP/DR drills, tabletop exercises, and simulations.
Track remediation actions and ensure closure of identified gaps.
Measure and report BCM maturity, preparedness scores, and operational resilience metrics.
Support internal, external, and regulatory audits related to BCM and resiliency.
Prepare BCM documentation and evidence for client due diligence, ISG assessments, and certifications.
Act as a BCM subject matter expert (SME) in client engagements, and governance forum.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in Business Continuity Management
Hands-on experience with BIA, BCP, DRP, Crisis Management
Knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ITIL, and regulatory expectations
Exposure to GRC tools, BCM platforms, or ServiceNow BCM modules
Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and recovery concepts
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Ability to work independently and lead BCM initiatives end-to-end
Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability
Experience working in matrixed or client-facing environment
