For one of our clients we are looking for a BI Engineer (Power BI Specialist) to join their strategic data transformation initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Jawda Compliance Dashboard Development: Design and build regulatory-grade dashboards, ensuring performance, accuracy, and usability for clinical and executive audiences.
- Legacy Migration: Migrate existing hospital and primary care KPIs from legacy systems and Excel into standardized, governed Power BI reporting.
- Semantic Layer Consumption: Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to consume Gold layer star schemas, focusing on creating efficient DAX measures rather than heavy data transformations.
- UX/UI & Visual Storytelling: Apply modern visualization principles so users can understand insights quickly (e.g., selecting the right visual such as trend lines for time-based changes, appropriate distributions for variability).
- Self-Service Enablement: Build robust, well-governed datasets that allow departmental power users to perform basic analysis safely and consistently.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Power BI: Desktop, Power BI Service, and Report Builder.
- Advanced capability in DAX and strong fundamentals in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of star schema design, relationship management, and modeling best practices in Power BI.
- Proven track record migrating complex, multi-layered legacy reporting into clean, performant Power BI environments.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business impact, ensuring dashboards drive decisions and action.
