To provide expert-level bicycle servicing, maintenance, and repair, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship, product knowledge, and excellent customer service. Bike Mechanic plays a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and enjoyable cycling experience for customers.
1. Bicycle Maintenance & Repair
- Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on a variety of bicycles (road, mountain, hybrid, electric, kids bikes, etc.).
- Assemble new bikes as per manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all bikes meet quality and safety standards before delivery to the customer.
2. Customer Service
- Engage with customers to understand service needs and provide technical advice or recommendations.
- Explain repairs or maintenance performed in a clear, professional manner.
- Ensure timely completion of services and follow up with customers where needed.
3. Workshop Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked workshop and request supplies when needed.
- Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely.
- Track service requests, repair history, and inventory of spare parts using internal systems.
4. Product Knowledge & Sales Support
- Stay updated on the latest bike technologies, trends, and tools.
- Assist sales staff with technical queries and bike fittings as required.
- Support the promotion of service packages and maintenance plans to customers.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all health and safety standards during repair and assembly tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with Adventure HQ's policies, SOPs, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in bicycle maintenance preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a bike mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Experience with a wide range of bikes including electric and performance models is a plus.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
