Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially sharp Bid Manager to join a dynamic interior fit-out and construction team in Dubai. This role focuses on leading the end-to-end bid and tender process for interior fit-out and civil construction projects, ensuring competitive, technically compliant, and commercially viable proposals that strengthen our market position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full bid lifecycle from tender release through to submission, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and client requirements.
Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions to assess scope and risks.
Coordinate bid activities with internal stakeholders including design, estimating, procurement, and project teams to compile accurate technical and commercial inputs.
Prepare and compile bid documentation, pricing schedules, commercial proposals, and executive summaries for submission.
Develop competitive pricing strategies in collaboration with the estimating team while ensuring value engineering and profitability.
Track bid status, respond to client clarifications, and manage pre-bid and post-bid negotiations as required.
Maintain an up-to-date database of bid documents, tender histories, scope clarifications, and key learnings to strengthen future submissions.
Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for repeat and new work pipelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 35 years experience in bid/tender management or commercial coordination, preferably within interior fit-out, building construction, or civil projects.
Strong understanding of tendering processes, BOQs, contract conditions, and bid compliance.
Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and comfortable with collaborative bid platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and clients.
Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Preferred
Experience with interior fit-out or construction bid processes in the UAE market.
Familiarity with BOQ preparation, costing tools, and risk assessment methodologies.
