Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
BIM Coordinator to join a leading engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models across major transportation, roads, highways, utilities, and infrastructure projects. This role is suited for candidates with a strong consulting background and hands-on experience delivering BIM workflows on large-scale infrastructure developments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models for roads, highways, transportation, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage model integration and federated model coordination across Civil, Utilities, Structures, and Transport disciplines.
- Perform clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks and ensure timely resolution of design conflicts.
- Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client requirements, and ISO 19650 standards.
- Monitor model quality, data consistency, naming conventions, and compliance with established BIM standards.
- Facilitate BIM coordination meetings with internal design teams and external stakeholders.
- Produce coordination reports, clash reports, model audits, and BIM progress updates.
- Support project teams in BIM implementation throughout the design and delivery phases.
- Maintain and manage models within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 environments.
- Collaborate closely with design managers, discipline leads, and BIM Managers to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in developing and improving BIM workflows, templates, and best practices for infrastructure projects.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables are submitted in accordance with project schedules and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of BIM coordination experience on transportation, roads, highways, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience working with engineering consultancies on design projects within the UAE or GCC region.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and ACC/BIM 360.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure disciplines including roads, wet utilities, dry utilities, drainage, and structures.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, CDE workflows, and digital delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Knowledge of UAE authority and infrastructure design standards is preferred.
- Experience with leading engineering consultants such as AECOM, Jacobs, AtkinsRéalis, Parsons, WSP, Egis, Arcadis, or similar is highly desirable.
- Candidates with predominantly building, architectural, MEP building, or contractor-side BIM experience will not be considered.
- Consultant-side infrastructure BIM experience is mandatory.
