BIM Drafter

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide BIM drafting, and technical documentation support to the Firefighting and Plumbing Engineering Team during all project phases.

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining high-quality BIM models, 3D designs, 2D drawings, and construction documentation in compliance with project requirements, company standards, applicable codes, and BIM execution plans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain BIM models for firefighting, plumbing, drainage, and water supply systems in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, layouts, sections, elevations, installation details, and construction documentation for project deliverables.
• Translate engineering designs, calculations, and specifications into accurate BIM models and coordinated drawings.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and other MEP disciplines to identify and resolve design clashes.
• Prepare shop drawings, tender drawings, construction drawings, and as-built documentation in line with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company drafting standards, client requirements, and applicable codes.
• Support site teams and engineers by providing accurate drawings and technical documentation required during construction and installation.
• Maintain project BIM files, drawing registers, libraries, and documentation within approved document management systems.
• Collaborate closely with Firefighting and Plumbing Engineers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of BIM models and engineering drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS REQURIED:

• 3 to 8 years of experience in BIM modeling and drafting for building services and MEP projects.
• Experience in Firefighting and Plumbing systems design support is preferred.
• BIM Professional Certification is preferred.
• Autodesk Revit Certification is preferred.
