BIM Engineer Plumbing & Drainage

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Revit MEP models for water supply, soil & waste, drainage, rainwater, vent and greywater systems.

• Prepare accurate construction/shop drawings, isometric drawings, layouts and builders work drawings.

• Perform clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination using Navisworks Manage.

• Coordinate plumbing and drainage systems with HVAC, electrical, firefighting and structural disciplines.

• Ensure accurate pipe slopes, invert levels, routing, clearances and constructability, particularly for gravity drainage systems.

• Generate BOQ, pipe schedules, fitting schedules and material take-offs directly from BIM models.

• Coordinate closely with site engineers, supervisors and project teams to ensure model accuracy and installation feasibility.

• Update BIM models based on site progress and prepare as-built models and documentation for project handover.

• Follow project BEP, BIM standards, modeling protocols, naming conventions and authority requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or relevant BIM qualification.

• 4–6 years of BIM experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Plumbing & Drainage MEP contracting projects.

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.

• Strong technical understanding of plumbing and drainage systems, gravity drainage, pipe slopes, invert levels, venting, fittings and pipe routing.

• Ability to develop accurate, coordinated and construction-ready BIM models.

• Practical understanding of MEP coordination and site installation requirements.

• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.

• Experience in high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality or large-scale MEP projects will be an advantage.
