BIM FireFighting Modeler

Role Description The BIM FireFighting Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. The individual in this role will develop and manage detailed BIM models for firefighting systems, ensuring coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Daily responsibilities include interpreting construction drawings, creating and updating 3D models, performing clash detection, and preparing model-based documentation for design and installation teams. The BIM FireFighting Modeler will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain model accuracy, adhere to project standards, and support compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The role also involves participating in design reviews, resolving modeling issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of modeling workflows and standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with experience as a modeler for building services or related disciplines.
• Understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to read, interpret, and translate drawings into accurate 3D models.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with specific experience in modeling firefighting and related building services.
• Experience in coordinating BIM models across multidisciplinary teams and performing clash detection and model validation.
• Familiarity with relevant fire protection codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders.
• Diploma or degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field; prior experience in BIM modeling within construction or building services projects is preferred.
