About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level BIM Manager to take full ownership of the studio's BIM strategy, standards, and digital delivery framework. This is a leadership role within the practice, responsible for defining, implementing, and governing BIM processes across all projects.
The role goes beyond coordination — it requires someone who can establish and enforce BIM systems, drive digital transformation, and lead BIM delivery at a studio-wide level.
You will work closely with Directors and Project Leaders to ensure BIM is fully integrated into the design process, supporting both design ambition and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the studio-wide BIM strategy, standards, and implementation framework
- Establish, maintain, and enforce BIM protocols across all projects and teams
- Lead the development and governance of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), EIR responses, and studio BIM standards
- Oversee BIM delivery across all project stages, ensuring consistent quality and compliance
- Manage and lead BIM coordination processes across multidisciplinary teams and consultants
- Direct the studio's digital BIM infrastructure, including:
- Development and control of BIM templates and content libraries
- Software environment management, testing, and deployment
- Standardisation of workflows and digital delivery processes
- Provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex BIM and coordination issues
- Mentor and develop BIM coordinators, ensuring capability growth across the team
- Drive continuous improvement of BIM processes, automation, and efficiency across the studio
- Ensure all BIM deliverables meet client, regulatory, and project-specific requirements
About You:
We are looking for a highly capable BIM leader with:
- Proven experience operating as a BIM Manager (or equivalent senior BIM leadership role) in an architecture practice
- Demonstrable experience owning BIM strategy and standards, not just project-level coordination
- Strong leadership experience managing BIM teams and cross-disciplinary workflows
- Deep understanding of BIM implementation, governance, and information management principles
- Proven track record producing and managing BEPs, EIRs, and studio BIM frameworks
- Strong experience setting up or maintaining BIM infrastructure (templates, libraries, standards, systems)
- Advanced knowledge of BIM workflows within a design-led architectural environment
- Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and technical delivery levels
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and design teams
