Company Description
We are an international engineering and technology company supporting complex infrastructure and transportation projects worldwide.
For an ongoing rail and transport infrastructure project in the UAE, we are seeking an experienced
BIM Modeler to support the development and updating of BIM models for CCTV, Access Control and Telecom systems.
Job Description
The BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating, updating and coordinating BIM models based on design drawings, installation records, technical documentation and verified project information.
The role requires strong hands-on experience with
Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, together with a good understanding of CCTV, Access Control, Telecom, ELV and low-voltage systems.
The selected candidate will work closely with CAD, engineering and technical teams to ensure that all BIM models accurately represent the installed systems and comply with project coordination and documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update BIM models for CCTV, Access Control and Telecom systems.
- Convert available design and As-Built information into accurate coordinated BIM models.
- Model CCTV devices, cameras, equipment locations and associated system components.
- Model Access Control System devices, interfaces and low-voltage installations.
- Model Telecom equipment, cable pathways, fibre routes and related infrastructure.
- Incorporate architectural interfaces and cable-containment requirements into BIM models.
- Review technical drawings, installation records and engineering information.
- Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct model reviews and identify clashes or coordination issues using Navisworks.
- Update models based on verified site information and technical-team comments.
- Maintain model accuracy, file structure, revision control and documentation consistency.
- Produce model views, coordinated drawings and other BIM deliverables as required.
- Support the preparation of final As-Built BIM models and technical handover documentation.
- Coordinate with CAD specialists, engineers, technicians and project stakeholders.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings and model-review sessions.
- Attend site coordination or verification activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, naming conventions and documentation procedures.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, BIM, Drafting or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a BIM Modeler, BIM Technician or BIM Coordinator.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Practical experience using Navisworks for model review and coordination.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Demonstrable experience developing or updating BIM models.
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Telecom, ELV or low-voltage systems.
- Good understanding of cable pathways, containment systems and equipment layouts.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Telecom designs and technical documentation.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Previous experience within rail, transport infrastructure or major infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Ability to work accurately under demanding project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and model quality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is strongly preferred.
Additional Information
The position is based in the United Arab Emirates and requires availability for project and site coordination when necessary.
Candidates must already be located in the UAE or able to mobilize within a short timeframe.
