The BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining Building Information Models to support design, construction, and operational workflows. This role involves collaboration with designers and Modelers to create accurate 3D models, ensuring seamless integration of design elements into the building's overall BIM framework. The role involves working with advanced software tools and techniques to optimize design processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with project specificationsResponsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D BIM models for interior design elements (walls, floors, ceilings, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and lighting).
- Create and manage interior design layouts, including space planning and detailed component designs (e.g., furniture, cabinetry, flooring).
- Ensure all BIM models are up-to-date, accurate, and consistent with the design intent and project standards.
- Work closely with interior designers and engineers to ensure the integration of interior design elements into the broader building model.
- Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes and design conflicts within the BIM environment.
- Implement and maintain industry standards and project-specific guidelines for BIM modeling processes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans (BEP) and ensure compliance throughout the project.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure BIM models are consistent with the approved design and architectural requirements.
- Conduct clash detection exercises within the BIM environment to identify and resolve potential issues related to the integration of interior design elements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including model documentation, schedules, and drawing sets.
- Generate reports and visualizations (e.g., 3D renders, walkthroughs) for internal reviews, client presentations, and stakeholder communication.
- Provide ongoing technical support to project teams throughout the design, construction, and installation phases.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and construction details related to interior elements.
- Stay up to date with the latest BIM trends, software updates, and interior design practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Participate in BIM training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.
