Develop models for grading, drainage, roads, pavements, irrigation, and site utilities.

Ensure all models align with design specifications, topographical data, and site constraints.

Civil & Infrastructure Coordination

Work closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and MEP teams to integrate models.

Ensure coordination of terrain models, road networks, pedestrian pathways, and stormwater systems.

Assist in clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or Solibri.

Digital Terrain & Grading Modeling

Develop topographic and surface models based on GIS data and survey information.

Create grading and earthwork models to optimize land use and water management.

Support terrain analysis for runoff, erosion control, and sustainable landscape solutions.

Drainage & Irrigation System Modeling

Model stormwater management systems, retention ponds, and drainage networks.

Integrate irrigation layouts with BIM models to ensure accurate water distribution planning.

Work with hydrology specialists to simulate water flow and efficiency in landscape areas.

BIM Documentation & Standards Compliance

Prepare detailed civil drawings, cross-sections, and quantity take-offs from BIM models.

Ensure compliance with ISO 19650, Level of Development (LOD), and local civil engineering standards.

Maintain consistent BIM workflows, model structures, and project documentation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

Assist project managers, engineers, and contractors in visualizing civil design solutions.

Coordinate with surveyors to incorporate geospatial and topographic data into BIM models.

Provide technical support for BIM-related inquiries during design and construction phases.

Software & Automation Expertise

Use Autodesk Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit, and GIS tools for modeling civil infrastructure.

Implement Dynamo scripting for automating civil modeling tasks.

Explore AI-driven and parametric design solutions for optimizing civil engineering workflows.

Sustainability & Smart Infrastructure Integration

Support low-impact development (LID) and sustainable civil engineering practices.

Model permeable surfaces, bioswales, and rainwater harvesting systems.

Assist in incorporating smart infrastructure elements (e.g., sensor-based irrigation, IoT-based drainage systems).

BIM Model Development & Integration

Develop 3D BIM models for roads, drainage, grading, utilities, and irrigation networks in landscape projects.

Integrate existing GIS data, survey models, and drone-based topographical scans into BIM workflows.

Ensure seamless integration of civil models with architectural, structural, and MEP models.
