Job Description

About ParaSets

At ParaSets, we are redefining the future of the built environment by bridging Information Management with cutting-edge software development. We build intelligent digital twins, automate complex engineering workflows, and develop custom software solutions that empower leaders in manufacturing and construction around the world.

Our culture is built on innovation, autonomy, and collaboration. We are a lean team of forward-thinking engineers, architects, and developers who challenge traditional industry boundaries and value creative problem-solving. By joining us, you will work on high-impact projects, explore new ways of delivering solutions, and have a meaningful influence on the direction of our core technology stack.

We set high standards, we take our commitments seriously, and we work to clearly defined deadlines. In return, we believe people deserve a working day that ends when it says it does, and a team that pays attention when someone is struggling and takes action to help.

We also believe that when things go wrong, the first question should be about the system, not the individual. If output falls short, we look at the standards, checklists, processes, and training before we look at the person. We believe in creating an environment where people can raise concerns, learn from challenges, and do their best work without being expected to quietly absorb a broken system. That is not just a sentiment. It is a principle we work by.

Your First Assignment

Our new project is a vertical transportation BIM package on a major development in Saudi Arabia: 250 lifts, and escalators in over 10 buildings. We take the manufacturer models, position and enrich them, produce the complete as-built drawing set, and hand over LOD 500 models carrying COBie asset data.

You own two of the four quality gates on this package, the model gate on every building and the drawing gate on every sheet produced by your team. Alongside the review work there will be some Family authoring and hands on drawing production.

What you'll do

Model production

  • Pilot drawings production, set CAD standards, view templates, production workflows and checklists for team members to follow.
  • Run the LOD 350 → 400 upgrade, adding or replacing standard model components with LOD 400 equivalents.
  • Apply and maintain naming conventions across Families, Types, Sheets, Views, View Templates, and Materials.
  • Apply LOD 500 requirements and room data imports at the as-built stage.

Quality ownership

  • Own two of the four project quality gates: the LOD 400 model gate for every building and the drawing gate for every sheet. Nothing is issued to the client without your sign-off.
  • Review your team members sheets daily during their first two weeks, then move to weekly reviews once output has stabilized.
  • Keep the rework rate visible in the drawing register and below 10%. When rework increases, look first at standards, processes, and training before looking at the individual.
  • Review sheets against manufacturer drawings before issue.
  • Carry out internal clash detection tests and prepare clash reports when required.

Capacity

  • Support drawing production when additional capacity is needed. Drawing production sets the project completion date, and your available capacity helps protect it when the team needs an extra push.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of BIM experience on delivered projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in architectural, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, including issuing, revision and status control, and working from the CDE rather than through file transfers.
  • Strong understanding of CAD standards, view templates, and model health. You can diagnose a model, not just draw in one.
  • Experience reviewing other people's work, with the ability to give clear, constructive corrections that move the work forward.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks Manage.
  • Comfortable working with LOD definitions, model QA, and structured data deliverables such as COBie or equivalent.
  • Able to work across Revit 2020, 2022, and 2024 on the same project, without unauthorized model upgrades.
  • Able to work on-site in Alexandria, Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week.

A plus

  • Revit parametric family modelling.
  • Experience with vertical transportation, including lifts, and escalators.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650.
  • Experience leading a small team.

Why this role is worth your time

  • Real ownership. Two quality gates are yours, signed in your name, on international client deliverables.
  • A chance to improve how we work. You will help shape onboarding, CAD standards, view templates, and the self-checklists the team uses.
  • Direct access to decisions. You will work closely with the principal engineer, without layers of management between you and the people making decisions.
  • Better tools over time. We invest in our own tooling so that the work becomes more efficient and less repetitive as the company and technology evolve.
