Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Biomedical Engineer will support the installation, calibration, and validation of medical and aesthetic equipment, ensuring that all devices function safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing regular inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and maintaining accurate documentation of service activities and technical reports. The role also involves developing and following preventive maintenance schedules, collaborating with clinical staff to understand equipment needs, training users on proper operation, and supporting compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements. The Biomedical Engineer will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to medical and aesthetic devices.
  • Proficiency in working with Medical Equipment, including installation, calibration, and performance verification in a clinical or aesthetic setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair coordination, and documentation.
  • Background in Clinical Engineering practices, with a focus on safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management for medical devices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with clinical teams, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or aesthetic clinic environments is preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility to respond to urgent equipment issues as needed.
