Job Objective
Responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Building Management System (BMS) and its related control systems to ensure reliable monitoring and control of critical utility and facility systems, while supporting GMP, safety, energy efficiency, and business continuity requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
BMS Operation & Monitoring
- Monitor BMS systems, alarms, trends, and operating parameters of critical utilities and facility systems.
System Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for BMS hardware, controllers, sensors, actuators, and associated control panels.
HVAC & Utilities Control
- Monitor and control HVAC systems and critical utilities such as AHUs, chilled water, compressed air, and other facility systems integrated with BMS.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Investigate system alarms, control failures, communication issues, and abnormal readings, and implement effective corrective actions.
BMS Programming & Configuration
- Support BMS programming, graphics, set points, control logic, system configuration, and modifications in coordination with approved requirements.
Data & Trend Analysis
- Analyze BMS trends and historical data to identify abnormalities, improve system performance, and support energy-efficiency initiatives.
GMP & Compliance
- Ensure BMS activities comply with GMP, GEP, EHS, data integrity, validation, and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
Calibration & Validation Support
- Coordinate with relevant teams during calibration, qualification, validation, and periodic verification of BMS-related systems and instruments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain BMS maintenance records, system documentation, change controls, alarms, breakdown reports, and performance reports.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support BMS upgrades, expansions, automation projects, energy-management initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in BMS, HVAC controls, industrial automation, or utilities within pharmaceutical, food, chemical, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Good knowledge of BMS/SCADA, PLCs, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
- Practical understanding of HVAC systems and pharmaceutical utilities.
- Knowledge of GMP, GEP, EHS, and validation/qualification requirements is preferred.
- Experience with BMS platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and technical documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
