Body Shop Team Leader

Job Purpose

Lead and coordinate the truck body shop team including denters and painters, providing technical guidance, job distribution, and quality oversight to ensure all body repair and paint work is completed to MAN OEM standards and customer expectations.

Accountabilities

• Distribute and prioritize daily body repair and paint jobs among Denters and painters, ensuring workload balance, repair sequence coordination, and alignment with customer and insurance delivery timelines.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to Denters and painters on complex body repairs including structural straightening, panel replacement, color matching, and specialist finishing techniques.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed body repair and paint work, verifying panel alignment, surface finish, paint color consistency, and overall appearance before customer vehicle release.
• Monitor body shop team productivity, material consumption, and individual performance, providing regular feedback and reporting team metrics to the Workshop Supervisor.
• Enforce body shop safety standards including proper ventilation, dust extraction, welding safety, hazardous material handling, and PPE compliance across all body shop operations.

Experience

Minimum 4-7 years of experience in automotive parts sales support, customer service, or product representation. Prior experience with commercial vehicle parts and customer-facing field roles is preferred.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, Marketing, or a related field (mandatory). Certifications in MAN product systems, customer service, or automotive parts are a plus.
