Role Summary:
The Brand Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned product categories across distribution channels. The role involves vendor management, pricing strategy, assortment planning, demand forecasting, and driving revenue, margin, and market share growth. The Category Manager works closely with sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to ensure optimal product availability and profitability
Responsibilities:
Category & Business Management
- Own end-to-end P&L responsibility for assigned consumer electronics categories (e.g., Mobile Accessories, Audio, Television, Home Appliances, etc.).
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Vendor & Brand Management
- Manage relationships with OEMs, brands, and suppliers.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, margins, schemes, rebates, and credit terms.
- Lead new product onboarding, range expansion, and vendor performance reviews.
Pricing, Promotions & Assortment
- Define pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while protecting margins.
- Plan promotional activities, schemes, and channel-specific offers in coordination with sales and marketing teams.
- Optimize product assortment based on sales performance, inventory health, and market demand.
Sales & Channel Support
- Work closely with distribution sales teams to drive category growth across GT, MT, e-commerce, and institutional channels.
- Provide category insights, sales tools, and training to improve sell-through.
- Support key customer negotiations and joint business planning.
Demand Planning & Inventory Management
- Forecast demand and collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, aging, and sell-through to minimize obsolescence and stock write-offs.
- Drive inventory turns and working capital efficiency.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience
- Experience in Category Management/Vendor Management in Consumer Electronics
- Strong understanding of category management principles and objectives
Qualification:
- MBA/ Engineering Degree
- Advanced understanding in Distribution Business
- Adept at MS Excel
Desired Profile:
- Thorough knowledge of UAE market in Consumer Durable products
- Dependable, self-motivated to take ownership and act proactively
- Experience with consumer electronics product distribution in UAE market
