Job Description

Job Purpose

The Marketing Director will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the reputation and visibility of the local market through impactful campaigns, integrated communication programs, and strong brand positioning. The role requires a visionary and strategic leader with extensive experience in government or semi-government environments, capable of aligning marketing strategies with national objectives, ensuring consistent messaging, and driving innovation across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead integrated marketing strategies aligned with the entity's overarching communication objectives and local strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the design, planning, and delivery of strategic marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and public perception.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making, using insights to optimize campaign effectiveness and media spend.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with content, digital, creative, and PR teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all channels.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensure optimal resource allocation, and track ROI across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key government entities, agencies, and media partners to amplify campaign reach and impact.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives reflect the local identity, cultural values, and communication standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or brand management, including at least 7 years in a leadership or director-level capacity.
  • Proven track record in strategic campaign management, brand positioning, and large-scale marketing program delivery.
  • Must have experience in the UAE market, with a strong understanding of its cultural landscape and communication dynamics.
  • Previous experience working with local government entities or major semi-government organizations is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of local culture, communication protocols, and government processes.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
