BTEC LECTURER (ANIMATION INDUSTRY)

Regent Institute Middle East is seeking an experienced Part-Time BTEC Lecturer in Animation to deliver and assess Pearson BTEC Level 4 & 5 / HND Animation programmes at our Dubai Knowledge Park campus.

The role focuses on practical, industry-oriented teaching, supporting students in developing advanced animation skills, understanding professional production pipelines, and building strong portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Plan assessments and develop Pearson-aligned assignment briefs.

• Deliver practical animation teaching sessions and demonstrations.

• Provide formative and summative assessments, feedback, and academic guidance.

• Participate in standardisation meetings and Pearson Standards Verification processes.

• Support students with academic tutoring, progression, retention, and professional readiness.

• Assist with academic department activities involving students and visitors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Digital Media, or a related field.

• Strong practical knowledge of 2D and 3D animation software and post-production tools.

• Ability to teach, assess, and provide constructive feedback on professional animation portfolios.

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, including experience working with multilingual learners.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally within vocational or higher education.

• At least 2 years of professional experience within an animation studio or production house.

• An Assessor Certificate in Vocational Education would be an advantage.
