Role Description The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting children and staff to and from British Orchard Nursery branches and designated pickup and drop-off points. This full-time, on-site role based in Dubai includes conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, following established routes and schedules, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. The Bus Driver will assist children during boarding and disembarking, maintain order and a calm atmosphere on the bus, and ensure that emergency procedures are understood and followed. The role also involves keeping the vehicle clean, reporting maintenance needs, maintaining accurate transport records, and collaborating with nursery staff and families to support a positive, child-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license for buses and a strong record of safe, incident-free driving.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws, road safety practices, and basic vehicle checks and maintenance.
• Experience working with children or in a school/nursery transport setting, with a supportive and child-friendly approach.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with children, families, and staff in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, with the ability to follow schedules and procedures consistently.
• Physically able to assist children safely on and off the bus, and to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and health and safety training as required by local regulations and nursery policies.
• Familiarity with basic record-keeping and the use of mobile communication tools for route updates is beneficial.
