About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a mission-critical role in launching and optimizing the bank's Commercial Cards platforma strategic initiative supporting SME and large-market clients. You will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business goals into clear technical specifications and ensuring seamless delivery across the cards ecosystem.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, IT operations, compliance, and card-issuing partners to define requirements, design system workflows, and drive end-to-end implementation of Commercial Cards features. You will lead the creation of technical documentation, support API and system integrations, and oversee testing, production readiness, and post-deployment optimization.

This is a high-impact position requiring deep experience in cards management systems, payment infrastructure, and industry compliance frameworks. Success in this role means enabling a smooth and timely program launch, ensuring platform stability, reducing operational risks, and delivering scalable card products that meet the bank's long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders and document business goals, processes, and system needs related to cards and payment platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into precise technical requirement documents (TRDs), system specifications, API definitions, and workflows.
  • Draft and maintain detailed documentation covering system design, architecture, integrations, and operational processes.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between technical teams, operations, compliance, and business units to ensure alignment and feasibility.
  • Leverage deep banking and cards expertise to support advanced capabilities such as spend tracking, reporting, expense management, and corporate onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, data security standards, and operational risk controls across all cards ecosystem components.
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of production issues, driving system reliability, scalability, and performance improvements.
  • Provide post-implementation technical support to product and business teams for onboarding new corporate clients.
  • Stay up to date with trends in payments, fintech, open banking, BaaS, and card management technologies to recommend improvements.

Must Have

  • 810+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or fintech, with a strong focus on cards management systems and payment infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise with Cards Management Systems such as FIS Cortex, NI, TSYS, or core banking platforms.
  • Proven ability to draft detailed TRDs, system specifications, and integration documentation.
  • Strong understanding of card processing, payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard), and Commercial Cards products (Corporate, Travel, Virtual Cards, CTA).
  • Deep familiarity with API integrations, SDKs, RESTful services, and card operations workflows.
  • Extensive experience supporting production systems, diagnosing issues, and driving rapid resolution.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS and security protocols in financial environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SaaS tools, spend management, expense management, or payment gateway platforms.
  • Familiarity with ERP and expense management systems (e.g., Concur, SAP).
  • Exposure to designing or supporting user-centric financial platforms with strong UI/UX considerations.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling tools (Visio, BPMN, Lucidchart).
  • Background in open banking, BaaS, and emerging fintech trends.
  • Understanding of both backend and frontend development in a banking context.
