Business Analyst
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The Business Analyst supports the development and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related business systems across the organisation. Working closely with the Business Systems Manager and operational teams, the role helps improve efficiency, productivity, and cost control. The position analyses business processes and identifies opportunities for system improvements. The Business Analyst documents requirements and supports the implementation of digital solutions.
The role also ensures that operational workflows are effectively integrated into the D365 ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, and HSE teams to understand business needs and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Analyse and document business processes such as maintenance cycles, logistics coordination, procurement, asset management, and job costing.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for configuration and enhancements in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Support system improvements, testing (SIT & UAT), and ensure data accuracy across assets, suppliers, materials, and operational records.
- Act as a link between operational teams and the Business Systems team to ensure system changes meet practical business needs.
- Assist with user training, system documentation, and onboarding for new system features.
- Support reporting requirements and help develop dashboards and KPIs to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
- Maintain system documentation, test scripts, and process flows while supporting governance, audit, and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Experience as a Business Analyst or in a process improvement role within mining services, heavy industry, engineering services, logistics, or other asset-intensive environments
- Degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, including modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, Projects, or Field Service
- Experience working with multi-site or remote operational teams is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into system solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with operational teams and senior leadership
- Proficiency in process mapping, requirements gathering, documentation, and system testing
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, safety-focused operational environments
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment
- Flexible approach, with the willingness to work outside normal hours if required
