JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing comprehensive business cases, translating financial analysis data, and evaluating new business opportunities in alignment with QAFAC&aposs growth strategy. This position plays a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving business growth within the organization.

Job-Specific Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Create comprehensive business cases from a financial perspective, including cash flow models and project valuation measures.
- Project both upfront and recurring costs, mapping benefit and cost projections over time to calculate key financial metrics.
- Calculate financial metrics for business case analysis, including Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
- Translate financial analysis data into QAFAC internal documents following guidelines developed by the Corporate Planning Senior Manager.
Business Opportunity Evaluation
- Collaborate with other departments, consultancies, shareholders, and stakeholders in evaluating potential new business opportunities for QAFAC.
- Prepare Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Letters of Intent (LOIs) with potential partners for new project development.
- Review and analyze market trends and technologies for new products to be incorporated into QAFAC&aposs portfolio, following the growth strategy.
- Prepare and coordinate pre-feasibility studies of potential business opportunities based on methanol, MTBE, and C4 derivatives.
Technical Support
- Serve as the resource for market intelligence of the methanol and MTBE worldwide markets, presenting frequent advisory reports.
- Assist management in special projects and preparation of conferences and meetings.
Reporting
- Develop regular reports containing analysis of market information (pricing, supply, demand, competition, etc.) in comparison to QAFACs existing products, capabilities and overall positioning in the market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor&aposs Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferably with Methanol or MTBE experience.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position at an oil and gas or petrochemical company.
