Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst with strong Quality Assurance (QA) capabilities and UI/UX design awareness to join our in-house development and support team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, while also contributing to testing strategies and early-stage design through wireframing and prototyping. Experience in domains such as smart cities, smart parks and content management platforms is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and use cases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated)
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Create UI/UX wireframes and interactive prototypes to support requirement validation and stakeholder alignment
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risks in requirements and solutions
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to ensure alignment
- Support defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes
- Maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, test reports, and traceability matrices
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with hands-on QA involvement
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA processes
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or Azure DevOps
- Ability to write and execute test cases and perform defect analysis
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus
- Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Strong grasp of user-centered design principles and ability to translate requirements into visual concepts
- Prior experience working with ticketing system, hardware/IoT and content management system
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, dashboards, and analytics used in IoT solutions
- Experience with process mapping, workflow design, and gap analysis
- Experience with UAT planning, execution, and defect management
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Design, or related field
- Experience in enterprise-scale or government-related projects is an advantage
