Job Purpose
Supports the Country Manager in executing the growth, commercial development, and operational performance of the Specialist Products & Services (SPS) business. The role helps expand Dialog's market presence, strengthens customer engagement, supports technical and commercial solutioning, and contributes to sustainable, profitable growth. The Business Executive works across sales, technical support, product accreditation, and cross-functional coordination to enhance Dialog's competitive position in key industries and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development
- Support the Country Manager in implementing business development initiatives through structured customer engagement, competitor intelligence, and new opportunity identification.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, applications, and market segments, particularly within oil & gas, chemicals, logistics, and general industrial sectors, to drive diversification and long-term growth.
- Gather structured market intelligence (competitors, pricing, distributors, regulatory landscape) to support Dialog's entry strategies.
- Coordinate on-site customer engagements and propose practical, effective solutions tailored to operational needs.
- Build strong technical understanding of SPS product families (GTL base oils, drilling chemicals, catalysts, specialty fluids, industrial lubricants) and their regional applications.
- Support the formulation of pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to recommend pricing adjustments aligned with commercial objectives.
2. Sales and Business Reporting
- Consolidate and prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and commercial performance reports.
- Prepare commercial proposals and pricing packages in coordination with business unit leadership.
- Ensure timely reporting that supports commercial decisions, pricing reviews, and strategic planning.
3. Partnerships and Collaboration
- Cultivate relationships with complementary O&G and industrial service companies to enhance product delivery, service integration, and customer value.
- Build partnerships with local distributors, supply-chain partners, logistics providers, and testing laboratories in each target market.
- Collaborate with internal operations, supply chain, and principals to ensure product availability, freight planning, importation, and customs compliance.
4. Technical Evaluation and Advisory
- Provide technical input during customer discussions, tenders, or feasibility studies.
- product accreditation and certification processes, liaising with authorities, testing laboratories, principals, and end users.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards throughout the accreditation process.
- Participate in techno-commercial evaluations to determine product suitability, value proposition, and total cost-of-ownership advantages.
- Leverage customer feedback to support product localization, optimization, or new product introduction.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Support customer acquisition efforts by identifying potential new accounts across priority industries and markets.
- Strengthen collaboration with key customers through consistent engagement, relationship building, and delivery of value-added solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
- At least 6 to 8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, or supply-chain-related roles within oil & gas, chemicals, logistics, distribution, or general industry sectors (industry experience preferred, not mandatory).
- Knowledge of performance fluids in food/agriculture, and industrial applications is a plus
- Strong marketing and technical understanding of product properties, industrial applications, logistics flows, and market trends.
