Role Purpose
The Business Development Executive (Water Treatment Chemicals) is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical support for Corofy's Water Treatment vertical across the UAE and Middle East. The role covers end-to-end activities from lead generation, customer acquisition, key account management, technical coordination, product positioning, and market strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in municipal, industrial, district cooling, RO/UF, wastewater, refinery, and utility segments.
Develop a robust pipeline of potential customers and projects using structured prospecting (industry events, site visits, digital channels, LinkedIn, referrals, etc.).
Conduct market mapping for assigned territories (UAE + GCC).
Build strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, facility management companies, water treatment OEMs, and industrial end-users.
Prepare and present commercial proposals, product presentations, and value-proposition pitches.
B. Sales Growth & Revenue Management
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin targets.
Manage RFQs, tenders, pricing, and contract closures.
Follow up on quotations and convert inquiries into orders.
Coordinate internally for order processing, delivery timelines, and payments.
Track competitor pricing and products and report insights to management.
C. Technical Support & Product Expertise
Understand water treatment chemical applications such as antiscalants, corrosion inhibitors, biocides, polymers, oxygen scavengers, and resin.
Conduct system audits, interpret water analysis, and recommend treatment programs.
Support customer trials, dosage optimization, and performance monitoring.
Coordinate with technical partners for troubleshooting.
Prepare technical reports, dosage plans, MSDS/TDS clarifications, and documentation.
D. Customer Account Management
Manage and grow existing customers through periodic visits and service quality.
Resolve customer complaints with coordination from Operations.
Maintain consumption patterns, forecasts, and business reviews.
Ensure high customer satisfaction with proactive communication.
E. Internal Coordination & Reporting
Work with Operations for inventory planning and deliveries.
Coordinate with Finance for credit checks and payment follow-ups.
Maintain CRM entries (Zoho/Bigin).
Prepare monthly sales reports and competitor updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering (preferred).
25 years experience in water treatment or speciality chemicals.
UAE/GCC market experience preferred.
Technical & Commercial Skills
Strong understanding of cooling towers, boilers, RO plants, wastewater, and utilities.
Commercial negotiation and sales process knowledge.
Ability to interpret water analysis and propose solutions.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
