Archer Business Development Manager (BDM)

Location: Cairo, Egypt (with regional travel)

Territory: Africa & Eastern Europe

Travel Requirement: Minimum 50% across core markets

Role Overview

Do you have a passion for Integrated Risk Management (IRM), GRC, and the role of AI- driven risk intelligence in transforming regulated industries Do you understand how large enterprises manage risk, compliance, and governance at a strategic level

We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive new logo acquisition across Africa and Eastern Europe, with a strong focus on core markets, regulated industries, and large enterprises.

This role requires a strong ability to build and manage C-level relationships, positioning Archer as a strategic partner to executives such as CROs, CFOs, Heads of Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

You will play a critical role in helping organizations modernize their GRC and risk operating models, leveraging Archer's platform as the enterprise system of record, enhanced by AI and SaaS innovation.

Key Responsibilities

C-Level Engagement & Strategic Selling

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior executives across target accounts
  • Lead executive conversations around risk, compliance, and governance transformation
  • Position Archer as a strategic, enterprise-wide solution, not just a tool
  • Navigate complex organizations and align multiple stakeholders around a unified vision

New Business Acquisition

  • Own and manage the full sales cycle for new logos—from prospecting to deal

closure and handover

  • Build and execute territory and account plans across Africa and Eastern Europe
  • Focus on large enterprises and regulated sectors (FSI, Oil & Gas, Government, Telecom)

Demand Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Drive outbound prospecting and create opportunities through executive

engagement

  • Partner with marketing on events, webinars, and executive roundtables
  • Build a strong pipeline aligned to strategic accounts and industry priorities

Opportunity Qualification (MEDDPICC-aligned)

  • Validate:
  • Executive sponsorship & economic buyer
  • Business pain aligned to GRC, risk, and regulatory requirements
  • Strategic initiatives (digital transformation, regulatory pressure, AI adoption) o Clear value case including ROI and risk reduction outcomes
  • Identify compelling events and urgency drivers

GRC & Risk Market Expertise

Solution Positioning (SaaS + AI + On-Prem)

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of:
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) o Regulatory compliance frameworks o Audit and assurance processes
  • Operational risk and resilience
  • Translate industry challenges into relevant Archer use cases and value propositions
  • Act as a trusted advisor on best practices in GRC transformation
  • Position Archer as:
  • The enterprise system of record for risk
  • A platform enhanced by AI (regulatory intelligence, automation, predictive insights)
  • Available in both SaaS (innovation-led) and On-Prem (data-sensitive environments)
  • Align solutions to industry-specific regulatory and operational challenges

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Work closely with channel partners (100% channel-led model)
  • Collaborate with Big4 and system integrators on joint opportunities
  • Ensure strong partner alignment, governance, and execution

Sales Execution & Governance

  • Lead RFI/RFP processes with internal teams
  • Manage commercials, negotiations, and contracting
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting via Salesforce & Clari

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise software sales (new business focus)
  • Strong track record of engaging and closing deals at the C-level
  • Deep understanding of GRC, Risk, Compliance, or Audit domains
  • Ability to lead strategic, consultative sales cycles
  • Experience selling into regulated industries and large enterprises
  • Strong understanding of:
