MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Opportunity Sourcing & Deal Flow
- Identify and generate new business opportunities aligned with partnership strategy.
- Track global pipelines, licensing activity, and potential partners.
- Build and maintain a qualified deal pipeline.
2. Partner Engagement & Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners.
- Act as a primary point of contact for BD discussions.
- Represent Avalon Pharma in external meetings and industry events.
3. Deal Execution & Negotiation
- Manage end-to-end deal lifecycle from scouting to contract execution.
- Lead or support negotiations, term sheets, and agreement discussions.
- Coordinate and support due diligence processes.
4. Business Case Development
- Develop and validate financial and commercial business cases.
- Assess opportunity attractiveness, risks, and value potential.
- Provide structured recommendations for decision-making.
5. Partner Ecosystem Contribution
- Maintain and update partner database and relationship tracking systems.
- Contribute to building a long-term partner ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities for repeat collaborations and portfolio expansion.
6. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, licensing trends, and market developments.
- Provide insights to support strategic direction and opportunity prioritization.
7. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare periodic BD activity reports and pipeline updates.
- Ensure proper documentation across the deal lifecycle.
- Other duties may be assigned.
PREREQUISITE PROFILE:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Pharma, Business, or relevant field. MBA a plus.
Experience:
6–10 years experience in pharmaceutical industry with exposure to business development, licensing, or partnerships.
