Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Opportunity Sourcing & Deal Flow

  1. Identify and generate new business opportunities aligned with partnership strategy.
  2. Track global pipelines, licensing activity, and potential partners.
  3. Build and maintain a qualified deal pipeline.

2. Partner Engagement & Relationship Management

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners.
  2. Act as a primary point of contact for BD discussions.
  3. Represent Avalon Pharma in external meetings and industry events.

3. Deal Execution & Negotiation

  1. Manage end-to-end deal lifecycle from scouting to contract execution.
  2. Lead or support negotiations, term sheets, and agreement discussions.
  3. Coordinate and support due diligence processes.

4. Business Case Development

  1. Develop and validate financial and commercial business cases.
  2. Assess opportunity attractiveness, risks, and value potential.
  3. Provide structured recommendations for decision-making.

5. Partner Ecosystem Contribution

  1. Maintain and update partner database and relationship tracking systems.
  2. Contribute to building a long-term partner ecosystem.
  3. Identify opportunities for repeat collaborations and portfolio expansion.

6. Market Intelligence

  1. Monitor competitor activities, licensing trends, and market developments.
  2. Provide insights to support strategic direction and opportunity prioritization.

7. Reporting & Coordination

  1. Prepare periodic BD activity reports and pipeline updates.
  2. Ensure proper documentation across the deal lifecycle.
  3. Other duties may be assigned.

PREREQUISITE PROFILE:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Pharma, Business, or relevant field. MBA a plus.

Experience:

6–10 years experience in pharmaceutical industry with exposure to business development, licensing, or partnerships.
