About the Role

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager Commercial Insurance to expand our market presence and grow our SME & Corporate insurance portfolio. In this role, you will build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored commercial insurance solutions in collaboration with our Business Banking, Employee Banking, and Protego teams.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development & Sales

  • Acquire new SME and Corporate clients across diverse UAE sectors
  • Build a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, research, and direct sales
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend suitable insurance solutions
  • Promote and place products such as Group Medical, Workmen Compensation, Motor Fleet, Property, Liability, and more
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and renewal terms

Revenue Achievement

  • Meet assigned revenue targets and contribute to portfolio growth
  • Track performance, update pipelines, and monitor conversion ratios
  • Coordinate with finance and operations teams for smooth premium collection and processing

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage assigned accounts as the primary relationship owner
  • Oversee renewals, endorsements, and coverage reviews
  • Ensure client retention and identify crosssell opportunities

Compliance & Governance

  • Adhere to CBUAE insurance regulations and brokerage conduct standards
  • Ensure proper KYC, AML checks, and full documentation
  • Avoid misselling by aligning solutions with client needs and risk profiles

Market Expertise

  • Stay updated on UAE insurance market trends and regulatory changes
  • Provide advisory support based on current market insights

Internal & External Coordination

  • Work closely with underwriters, insurers, and internal teams
  • Support clients during claims by coordinating with internal departments and insurers

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation
  • Submit regular sales reports and pipeline updates to management

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales or business development
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting fundamentals
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of risk management and UAE regulatory requirements
  • Certifications such as CII or CPCU are an advantage
  • High integrity, professionalism, and clientcentric mindset
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite
