Lead and drive business development activities to support company growth in electrical equipment and technology solutions within the Saudi market.
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities including power distribution systems, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, automation systems, and energy management solutions.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline aligned with approved revenue and growth targets.
Develop and implement market penetration strategies targeting utilities, industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, and major infrastructure projects.
Establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key clients, EPC contractors, consultants, government entities, and utility companies.
Engage with technical decision-makers, project managers, and procurement teams to understand project requirements and propose optimized technical and commercial solutions.
Manage key accounts and strategic partnerships with local and international technology providers.
Identify, manage, and follow up on tender opportunities (RFI, RFQ, RFP) until award stage.
Coordinate closely with engineering, estimation, and supply chain teams to prepare compliant technical and commercial proposals.
Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract discussions to secure profitable business.
Monitor Saudi market trends, major projects, competitor activities, and emerging electrical technologies such as smart grids, energy efficiency, automation, and digital solutions.
Support product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and long-term growth plans aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
Work closely with operations, manufacturing, and after-sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to senior management.
Technical:
Participate in reviewing and endorsing technical offers for strategic projects.
Approve proposed technical solutions in coordination with the engineering department.
Administrative:
Supervise and evaluate the performance of the business development and sales team (if applicable).
Recommend training and development plans for team members.
Financial:
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved authority limits.
Contribute to annual revenue planning and sales forecasting.
Required Competencies
Minimum 58 years of experience in business development or technical sales within the electrical equipment, power systems, or electrical technology sector.
Proven experience in the Saudi market is mandatory, with strong hands-on experience dealing with utilities (such as SEC, NHC, NWA), industrial customers, EPC contractors, and consultants highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (mandatory).
Skills:
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Solid technical-commercial understanding of electrical products (LV/MV switchgear, transformers, control panels, automation systems).
Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and complex sales cycles.
Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required.
