At Grandiose we are looking for Business Development Manager, well experienced in space acquisition & expansion from Retail/F&B Industry
Job Purpose:
The BDM will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and expansion of retail business within designated geographical areas. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that all expansion efforts align with the overall business objectives and enhance brand presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute area development strategies to drive market growth, increase market share, and enhance brand visibility.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for expansion.
New Store Development:
- Lead the site selection process for new store locations, conducting feasibility studies and financial assessments to support decision-making.
- Oversee the development and launch of new stores, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational goals.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to assess the performance potential of new stores, evaluating key metrics and trends to project year-over-year performance.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of area managers and development professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in area development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, community organizations, and local government agencies.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions related to new store locations and area development initiatives.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for area development projects, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all area development activities comply with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 8+ years in a senior area development or expansion role within the retail industry, with a proven track record of successful store openings and performance optimization
