Since 1998, Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East. We specialize in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop fittings.

As a result of the expansion in the key growth market of KSA, we are seeking to appoint experienced leaders to take our business forward. Even though our KSA office is located in Riyadh, we work on different projects all across the country. Consequently, the ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager position (as well as other vacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. Role Summary

The Business development manager will develop relationships with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship with existing clients, to understand and be part of their future development strategies and aspirations. Accordingly, portray Havelock's capabilities strategically to partner in such future developmental projects.

Establish a robust network of relationships with all work providers including designers and consultants to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. Working across all sectors that we operate in with strategic importance on enhancing our commercial office fit-out opportunities.

This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company's competitive advantage. Strategic planning for future development and established relationship network are key ingredients for this role.

Role Description

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Marketing strategy and communications, new market investigation, overseeing marketing and account Strategy
  • Research and build relationships with new clients as well as new projects in selective sectors
  • Use internal and external tools to compile project opportunity pipeline and establish plan of action for each opportunity based on agreed targets with management
  • Plan and work with projects team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives. Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's Directors/ Principals
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Identification of Customer Needs, Market Challenges, Territory Management, and Market Knowledge
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client

Client Retention

  • Build up and enhance new client relationships
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs

Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends

Management And Research

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities
  • Understand the company's goal and purpose so continue to enhance the company's performance

Candidate Requirements

  • 10 -15 years of business development experience in relevant industry, preferably in KSA or within GCC
  • Effective communication and influencing skills in dealing with most senior levels of client organization/ decision-makers
  • Creating and delivering business development strategies
  • Delivering growth targets
  • Knowledge of estimating service including value engineering
  • Gravitas and charismatic personality to establish rapport with key influencers and diverse group of professionals
  • Proven track-record of influential networking within the market with relevant clients
  • Expertise in developing business sectors in a challenging and competitive fit-out market in KSA
  • Ability to work across the organization and lead initiatives to a successful completion
  • Additional preferred skill ingredients for the role: Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Sales Planning, Customer centricity, Proposal construction and delivery, Market intelligence gathering and analysis, and Territory Management, giving timely and effective feedback and Report writing/ presentation skills
  • The position prefers a bachelor's degree in a relative discipline
  • Knowledge of Arabic language would be an additional advantage
