About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive new sales opportunities and grow our footprint with small and medium-sized businesses. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in innovative commercial environments especially as we introduce a new pay-per-task-completion based pricing model.
You will be responsible for identifying prospects, generating new leads, identifying use cases, running the full sales cycle, and closing deals that align with this new commercial construct. You'll collaborate with the product team to ensure customers clearly understand the value and economics of our outcome-based approach.
Responsibilities
Pipeline & Opportunity Generation
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the SMB segment
- Identify use cases aligning with the new pay-per-task-completion commercial model.
- Build a predictable and healthy pipeline aligned with revenue targets
Sales Execution & Closing
- Lead the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, value proposition, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Clearly articulate the pay-per-task pricing model and position the value of outcomes over licenses
- Build and tailor value cases based on customer workflows, expected task volumes, and ROI
Collaboration & Customer Value
- Partner closely with the product team to refine business scenarios and workflows
- Provide feedback to product and leadership on customer needs and adoption of the new commercial model, as well as help shape a repeatable and scalable scope for the new model
- Ensure a smooth handoff to customer success for onboarding and activation
Requirements
- 37 years of experience in B2B sales, account executive, or business development roles
- Successful track record of selling into SMB or mid-market customers
- Comfortable leading the whole sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closing
- Experience creating and managing new sales pipelines
- Comfortable with ambiguity, experimentation, and early-stage product/sales motion
- Motivated by ownership, autonomy, and building something new
