Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth of our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business within the Oil & Gas sector in the UAE.
The role focuses on developing and securing opportunities for power transformers, substation solutions, GIS, and AIS, engaging with EPCs, consultants, end users, and key stakeholders across upstream, midstream, and downstream O&G projects. This position requires strong technical understanding, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive business from early project identification through to contract award.
Duties & Responsibilities / What You Will Do
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the T&D portfolio within the UAE Oil & Gas sector.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities for power transformers, GIS, AIS, and substation solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, consultants, developers, and government entities.
- Track upcoming O&G projects, FEED stages, and tenders; ensure early project engagement and specification influence.
- Coordinate with engineering, proposal, and tender teams to develop technical-commercial solutions aligned with client requirements.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and support contract finalization.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue growth, and market penetration objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and technical presentations.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM updates.
Required Qualifications / This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Below
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (MBA or commercial qualification is a plus).
- 812 years of experience in business development or project sales within T&D, power systems, or substation solutions.
- Proven experience working with the Oil & Gas sector in the UAE (operators, EPCs, or major contractors).
- Strong technical knowledge of:
Power transformers
GIS & AIS substations
Transmission & Distribution systems
- Solid understanding of EPC contracting models, tendering processes, and project lifecycles in O&G.
- Established network within UAE O&G and energy infrastructure market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and meet aggressive targets.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- UAE market experience is mandatory.
