Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Specialist - Catering & Events, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The specialist will focus on identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and developing strategies to expand the company's catering and events portfolio. Responsibilities include generating leads, managing client relationships, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the planning and execution of events. The role also involves collaboration with various teams to align business goals and optimize service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in market research to identify opportunities, trends, and strategies.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and cold calling.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in Lead Generation and business development within the catering, events, or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of the Riyadh market and cultural context is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently to meet targets and deadlines.
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and quotations, then negotiate contracts to close deals
- Cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and venue partners to secure repeat business.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to adjust sales strategies.
- Work closely with operations and culinary teams to ensure proposals meet client needs, including conducting tastings and site visits.
- Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring quarterly and annual revenue targets are met.
- Relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, is preferred.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, specifically within the catering, hospitality, or F&B sector in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic & English for negotiating and presenting.
- Strong understanding of catering market trends, pricing strategies, and contract management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management is usually required.
