Job Description

Job purpose:

The Business Development Specialist role's ultimate accountability is to assist in identifying and prioritizing business opportunities based on extensive research, market analysis and internal assessment.

Roles and responsibilities:

Sales Planning & Forecasting

Collect data and research on education, labour market supply and demand, students, and other related matters in order to identify and assess business opportunities

Coordination with other departments in the organization to prepare documents and information in a format of presentation for the meetings with the authorities/clients.

Follows-up on new business opportunities including search in the accreditation platform and sets up meetings. Schedule a meeting with the concerned parties in order to discuss potential business opportunity and understand their needs

Business Development/ Prospecting

Conduct a market analysis based on extensive research in order to identify and assess the potential industries and employers which constitute business development opportunities

Conduct research on potential clients, for example: industry vertical; competitor; challenges; basic financial situation; people roles, responsibilities and influence, e.g. LinkedIn

Understand and speak to characteristics of the company by highlighting own products and services and listing benefits and advantages of company's products and services.

Analyze incoming Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to design, architect, and draft comprehensive technical solutions and competitive financial models.

Customer Acquisition

Contribute in the development of the proposal and management guidelines

Coordinate with relevant departments for each of the projects and share plans for the implementation of each project.

Plans, prepares and conducts presentations for prospective clients.

Be integral part of the delivery team for each of the projects

Review the terms and specification of each of the projects/contracts.

Closes new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts.

Develops negotiation strategies by evaluating risks and potentials related to prospective clients.

Follow up on the status of the project while and after delivery.

Customer Relationship Management

Collect information related to client's decisionmaking process, organization structure and profile of all individuals involved in the purchasing decision

Create a positive first impression and establish credibility with client: identify client concerns; present methods for addressing concerns; establish dialogue with client to understand client company and business.

Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business and enhancing organization reputation.

Validate assumptions about clients budget and purchasing authority

Document key details of the conversation to maintain record of client information, needs and expectation.

Professional qualifications and certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant fields.

Professional Certificate in Business Development, Sales Management is preferred.

Job experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in sales and business development.
