Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Director to lead our growth initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to acquire new clients and expand our existing client base. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of VML.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through a combination of inbound and outbound marketing efforts. Leverage VML's strong reputation and network to open doors.
- Manage and utilize CRM systems for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion.
- Lead the agency's new business pitch process, crafting compelling presentations and proposals that showcase VML's unique capabilities and win clients over.
- Oversee client relationships, fostering strong partnerships and maximizing client satisfaction by understanding their evolving needs and exceeding expectations.
- Analyze marketing data and utilize insights to optimize acquisition efforts, ensuring VML stays ahead of the curve.
- Manage and motivate a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment (if applicable).
- Stay abreast of industry trends and identify new marketing and sales methodologies, ensuring VML remains at the forefront of the industry.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in business development or a related field within the marketing and advertising industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business growth in a competitive agency environment.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, best practices, and the evolving digital landscape.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mind with a data-driven approach to decision making and a passion for leveraging data to inform strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and marketing analytics tools.
- Experience leading and motivating a team (if applicable).
