Business Partnering & Profitability Management
- Track and analyze gross margin performance by vendor, product, and channel.
- Support pricing decisions to protect margins.
- Review monthly P&L with business leaders, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provide financial insights to drive revenue growth and EBIT improvement.
- Monitor budget vs. actuals and recommend corrective actions.
Vendor Rebates & Claims Management
- Maintain complete tracker of all vendor rebate programs (e.g., back-end rebates, MDF, incentives, price protection).
- Ensure accurate calculation of rebate eligibility based on agreements.
- Coordinate with sales and vendor teams to validate performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit rebate claims on time and follow up for approvals and payments.
- Reconcile vendor credit notes and ensure no revenue leakage.
- Provide monthly rebate accruals with proper documentation.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of rebate receivables, unclaimed rebates, and outstanding credit notes.
Compliance & Control
- Ensure rebate accounting aligns with IFRS/local GAAP.
- Maintain strong internal controls around revenue recognition.
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all vendor claims.
- Support internal and statutory audits.
Reporting & Governance
- Present monthly business finance dashboards covering:
- Gross margin movement
- Rebate status
- Claims submitted vs. approved
- Vendor receivables
- Working capital impact
- Highlight risks related to rebate expiry or unclaimed incentives.
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance with 4-6 years of experience in Business Finance
- Strong analytical & financial modelling skills
- Deep understanding of vendor rebate structures in distribution business
- Experience in ICT / Distribution industry preferred
- Strong reconciliation and audit mindset
- High ownership and follow-up discipline
- Advanced Excel & ERP knowledge
- Strong business finance / commercial finance exposure
- Proven experience in profitability analysis, gross margin management, and business decision support
- Hands-on experience in vendor rebates (especially sell-in), claims, and revenue impact tracking
- Good mix of AR + analytics + business partnering
- Ability to drive insights and influence business outcomes, not just reporting
