We're hiring on behalf of a well-established facilities management and operations group for a senior leader ready to step into a deputy directorship with real scope.
The role:
You'll work directly alongside the BU Operations Director, running day-to-day delivery across multiple projects and sites. You'll own execution — turning strategy into operational plans, holding teams to financial and performance targets, and stepping in for the Director when needed. This is a hands-on leadership seat with full exposure to P&L, client relationships, and business unit strategy.
What you'll be doing:
- Driving project delivery across scope, budget, and schedule, with active risk management
- Tracking KPIs, spotting problems early, and pushing through corrective action
- Managing budgets, controlling costs, and protecting profitability
- Building trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Leading and developing high-performing operational teams
- Championing quality, HSE, and compliance standards across every site
What we're looking for:
- A strong engineering background paired with deep FM/operations expertise
- Proven leadership of multi-site or multi-project operational teams
- Commercial sharpness — you understand budgets, cost control, and what drives margin
- A confident communicator who can hold the room with clients and senior stakeholders
- Someone who solves problems rather than escalates them
