Buying Manager

The Buying Manager will oversee the Hamleys Buying Strategy, will be involved in every aspect of the business operations from identifying products / brands to comparing supplier costs to strategic planning and sourcing. Duties include reviewing new project proposals, interacting with both the marketing and operations team to create effective strategies and handling contract negotiations with vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
• Contract Negotiation – renewals to see improving terms annually (margin, payment terms, rebates)
• New line selection and allocation sign off (weekly)
• Quarterly assortment sign off by store and region
• Monthly Market Analysis (regional and global)
• Analyze current buying performance and implement improvement to current system
• Communicate with Operations and Marketing team to effectively carry out working strategies.

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 Years of Experience in Senior Buyer Role.
• Experience in Toys Retail
• Local and International experience
• Based in the UAE or Open to Relocate.
