CAD/CAM Programmer

Sigma Engineering Works, part of Mazrui Energy is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join the Production team.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years experience in CAD/CAM designing and programming.

Roles & responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for machining parts from engineering drawings, utilizing CAD/CAM software to translate designs into machine-readable code, optimizing toolpaths for efficiency and quality.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material properties, part geometry, and machine capabilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing tool wear.
• Verify CNC programs through simulation and first-article inspection, making necessary adjustments to achieve dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.

Desired candidate profile

• Demonstrates proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, GibbsCAM) with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
• Certification in any CAD/CAM software.
