CAD Draftsman (Civil and Signage) SRTA RTA, MicroStation plus AutoCAD
Primary focus
- Civil drafting for roadworks and reinstatement, with added capability to produce RTA/SRTA signage shop drawings and artwork layouts.
Core responsibilities
- Produce NOC layout drawings and road diversion drawings, aligned with SRTA and RTA requirements.
- Draft road works including sections and profiles, kerb lines, duct crossings, manhole tie ins, slab and reinstatement details, interlock and kerbstone typicals.
- Prepare as built, reinstatement, and demolition drawings for civil works.
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings for traffic signs, wayfinding, and street name signs.
- Draft sign structures and assemblies including signposts, gantries, cantilevers, baseplates, brackets, foundations, and typical details.
- Generate bilingual sign artwork layouts Arabic and English based on SRTA standard fonts, colors, and layouts.
- Update drawings from red marks, site measurements, and engineer or consultant comments, and manage revisions.
- Maintain drawing logs, call off tracking, and strict version control.
Required skills
- AutoCAD drafting experience for Civil works and MicroStation for Signage design and drafting
- Good understanding of UAE civil and RTA/SRTA standard drawings for roadworks and reinstatement.
- Signage knowledge including SRTA traffic sign standards, MUTCD based layouts, reflective sheeting types Type IV V IX, and basic sign geometry checks mounting heights, post spacing, visibility.
