CAD MEP Coordinator

Role Description The CAD MEP Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for coordinating and producing detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings. The role involves using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to develop, update, and manage coordinated MEP models aligned with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project documentation, preparing and revising shop drawings and submittals, resolving coordination clashes, and collaborating with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables. The CAD MEP Coordinator will also support quality assurance for drawings, maintain version control of design documents, and participate in coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for coordinated MEP modeling and detailing.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including standards, codes, and coordination practices.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and managing Submittals and Drawing sets, including shop drawings and as-built documentation.
• Familiarity with construction workflows, engineering documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination on large-scale projects.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, schematics, and design documents with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, engineering, and site teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant experience in MEP coordination within building or infrastructure projects in the Middle East is an advantage.
