CAD Technician (Utilities)

We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician (Utilities) with a strong background in UAE utility and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) requirements and other relevant UAE authority standards.

Candidates must hold a valid UAE Equivalency Certificate for their Degree/Diploma and preferably be available for immediate joining.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
• UAE Equivalency Certificate is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant CAD/Infrastructure experience.
• Proven experience working on UAE infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD – mandatory.
• Civil 3D experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in infrastructure projects covering:
• Roads and transportation infrastructure
• Dry utilities
• Wet utilities
• Master development projects
• Utility networks and associated infrastructure
• Good understanding of UAE authority requirements, design standards, and submission procedures, particularly ADM requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, plans, sections, and utility drawings.
• Strong coordination skills with engineers, designers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update accurate 2D CAD drawings for infrastructure and utility projects.
• Develop drawings for dry and wet utilities, roads, and master development projects.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, design requirements, and applicable UAE authority standards.
• Incorporate engineering/design revisions and maintain drawing accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, infrastructure, utilities, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare drawings required for authority submissions and approvals.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, references, revisions, and document control.
• Coordinate with engineers and designers to resolve drawing-related technical issues.
• Support project teams with timely preparation and modification of CAD drawings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate will have:

• 5+ years of UAE experience in infrastructure/utility CAD drafting.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with ADM and other UAE authorities.
• Experience in roads, dry utilities, wet utilities, and master developments.
• Valid UAE Equivalency Certificate.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
